Getting Luck is Harder:

Once Arnold Palmer The famous golf player hit the ball focusing the hole which was at very large distance. The audience and the press watching it was astonished to see the ball entering the hole. They had no clue of how he was able to hit the target.

The press questioned him to be luck. To this question the answer gave by him still surprised them. His answer: Yes I agree to you that it was Luck but harder I practice the more easily the Luck follows.

So is the heading to this article making a sense? Harder the work did easier the Luck. So I say that or conclude that getting Luck is Harder(can say vice versa).Right!!!!!

P.S: The article written above is not an imaginary story written It was written based on a lecture I heard.

Taking Decision:

I have learned in my Principles of Management, a statement by Knootz and Weihrich( I have no idea who they are?)That Decision Making is a process of choosing an action from a set of alternatives to achieve a desired goal. (I am not going into subject actually).

But the real situation is that we might not be able to take an option as two or more choice may be more or less on same probability to choose.

But this is not what I am going to talk about. Its about whether the decision you have taken is right or wrong. Sometimes we might feel that “Oh I could have opted that or like if I had taken that it could have been better.” So do you feel now that you have taken a wrong decision?

Now in the same track for about an year have passed and suddenly you come to know that “ Wow the decision I had taken the year have helped me in today or like if I had opted that decision I could not have achieved this” So Now tell me what do you feel?”

My conclusion is that “Any decision taken cannot be said as Right or wrong at the TIME when the decision has taken”.

A story in Dream:

This is not about story of Dream and what Dream is? It’s about a story which comes in Dream. There is a saying that Dreams portray the message which is hidden deep inside our self concise memory. Again a question arises, whether it could be possible to see or achieve things what we see in Dream.

I hope the answer to the above questions could be hard to explain. I know now that you will be wondering why so? Hence I choose to explain by a story. As it’s about Dream so let it make more interesting by choosing a fantasy story taken from Arabian Nights.

A beautiful Land covered all sides with sea, full of green trees in the shades of palm trees, a pleasant pleasing breeze with a hut in middle inside where lives a man. He is a poor fisherman in the island. He always Dreams about becoming rich one day. (Though it is not his aim to become rich)

One day as usual he had a dream. This is what he visualized in his dream. It’s about a stormy desert, no water, full of heat all over the place, crossing that there is a temple inside which you find a treasure. He believed that there is a treasure there and he knows that it’s very hard to search that place and even if he finds surviving there is a real difficult challenge.

He started his journey in the search of dream (more close to use than treasure) and finds a temple there. Many people there found him strange when he entered there. So he tried to enter the temple at night. With a lot of hope and joy he entered inside the temple but shocked to find there was no treasure but only a statue of god. Meanwhile hearing a sound of temple bell the people gathered there and handed him over to the police for verification.

Fed up with life and burying all his desires he was taken to jail. Inside the prison he finds another man who is a local thief. He laughed and made fun of him for his foolishness he made and traveled long distance to get in prison and narrated not to believe in dream. He added that he too had a dream about becoming rich. He visualized a beautiful Land covered all sides with sea, full of green trees in the shades of palm trees, a pleasant pleasing breeze with a hut in middle and behind the hut you will find the treasure.

I doubt whether to conclude here in my way or go as per the story as he reaches his home back and finds a treasure (Any conclusion of yours is welcome here). It could also be like the achieving target is actually very close to us but we complicate things and make things worse (can say) but at last we achieve (need to agree with that). As the local thief did not believe his dream it is not shown that he achieved his target which makes us think that in order to achieve things we must make a struggle hard enough in life to find what is within us. Is my conclusion satisfying?

As final words, have the story explained you to the above questions. I feel that it could be better as the word dream used above is tricky. For a real life situation the conclusion could be:

Your Aim must be your Dream.

The story of Man:

This is just a story which has no resemblance from any of the holy scripts or history. It is an imaginary concept or idea which tries to explain who man was and why was he created.

The creation had begun. A power or a revolution what we call God thought to create a faithful creature. It was named Dog and he granted him 20 years of Life to be faithful and to guard. Dog felt it is too long to guard and to remain faithful so returned him 10 years satisfied with remaining 10 years. So, God thought to reserve the 10 years.

Next he created a funny and at the same time disrespected creature with ugly looks .Of course it was named as Monkey. He granted 20 years to him. The monkey felt that it was too long to be kept funny so returned him 10 years. So god again reserved the 10 years.

Next he created a hard working, highly serving creature which is even termed as holy creature. It was the cow to work hard in sun plough the fields and serve by providing milk and even worshipped. He granted 60 years for cow to do these. The cow felt its too long period and returned him 40 years satisfied with 20 years. So god reserved 40 years.

What could be the next creation? Of no doubts it is the Man or in more common can say Human. The man wanted to enjoy, be happy always, joyful, playful, get entertained and what not? It gave 20 years to enjoy all these activities. The unsatisfied human was not happy with the short span of time the god gave him. So he requested god to give him the life of 60 years too which he had reserved.

Now I just liked to put up a question to all those readers who were reading this. Is it right what the man as asked to god? What you would have asked if you were the man who asked?

As the wish the god granted the 60 years of life too to man. That’s how man obtained 80 years of life. But god had the logic as he is cleverer than man. Now can you (reader) say what the logic beyond god granting the 60 years was?

The logic is first 20 years of life is the real man’s life of enjoying, playing, being happy, entertained etc etc. The next 40 years is the cows life of hard working, he needs to really work hard work hard for his survival. He had to serve his house and family. The term Holy though here has been used here differently as the Head of the Family. The next 10 years in Monkeys life of showing funny faces to the kids and grandchild and to entertain them and considered useless and not respected from the family. The last 10 years is the Dog’s life of staying outside the house guarding and needs to be faithful to get a days meal.

Even though the story is explained in easy and humorous manner it is to be accepted that the life of man is designed to the story above. The man’s ultimate object had been to break that anyhow from the time by inventing many methods and techniques from medical to science through new drugs discovery, making man work easy with the invent of sophisticated equipments like phone, washing machine, TV cooking aids etc.

The design could not be changed by man. It ends.

When I was at your age:

We have heard many persons saying “When I was at your age I handled the situation this way, did things that way blab blab blab” to you at situations where we are slightly week or when you have taken a wrong decision.

Take once again the case with the game of Golf. There are two golf players in the field readily waiting to take a challenge to hit the hole.
The first player is a young, dynamic charming and highly energetic player. Of course he is talented and has quite a good experience in golf.

The second player had been spoken by the public as a well experienced and challenging player and had won many medals and awards by his competent play.

When asked about him the young player replied “Of course he is a best player but now he has become too old, so his capability would have been reduced so the chances of winning is easy for me.”

They started the play at a nice and beautiful morning light. The first strike was given to the young. The strike was hard and sharp but the angle was not so good but was able to travel a good distance. The old commented his shot as “when I was at your age nobody imagined a strike which was so powerful and the angle taken by my shot could not be beaten at any cost.”

The young hearing his comment could not control himself and wanted to prove to him who he was” so he started to hit without any idea or concentration. Every time he hit the old again started his story “When I was at your age blab blab blab.” His full thinking was about the comments the old had made to him which disturbed him very much.

The young had a thought in his mind that the time as come for him to prove. He made a huge hit which every body thought it would reach the goal but it went strike a very big tree which was near the goal post.

Again the old started “When I was at your age I used to hit such that the ball would cross the tree and hit the goal. The young got anger and tried to make an altitude of standby. Every one was tensed whether he could do it not. Oops it hit the bark of tree and striked back behind him. The old replied “when I was at your age the tree was just 2 feet and so small”.

Now the young were able to understand that “There are many things that have changed over time. Many factors have changed. Many rules have changed. The culture has changed. The atmosphere was changed and many more but what was not changed is Hard work, discipline, dignity, competency and many many on the list

If you are young understand it and if you are old do tell this story to your kids and young and I hope that you wouldn’t start with when I was at your age.

PEARL OF WISDOM..

1. The badness of a movie is directly proportional to the number of helicopters in it.

2. You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and compelling reason why we observe daylight-saving time.

3. People who feel the need to tell you that they have an excellent sense of humor are telling you that they have no sense of humor.

4. The most valuable function performed by the federal government is entertainment.

5. You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests you think she’s pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment.

6. A penny saved is worthless. ( I read this 2 or 3 times then I laughed).

7. They can hold all the peace talks they want, but there will never be peace in the Middle East. Billions of years from now, when Earth is hurtling toward the Sun and there is nothing left alive on the planet except a few microorganisms, the microorganisms living in the Middle East will be bitter enemies.

8. The most powerful force in the universe is gossip.

9. The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.

10. There comes a time when you should stop expecting other people to make a big deal about your birthday. That time is age 11.

11. There is a very fine line between “hobby” and “mental illness.”

12. People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them.

13. There apparently exists, somewhere in Los Angeles, a computer that generates concepts for television sitcoms. When TV executives need a new concept, they turn on this computer; after sorting through millions of possible plot premises, it spits out, “THREE QUIRKY BUT ATTRACTIVE YOUNG PEOPLE LIVING IN AN APARTMENT,” and the executives turn this concept into a show. The next time they need an idea, the computer spits out, “SIX QUIRKY BUT ATTRACTIVE YOUNG PEOPLE LIVING IN AN APARTMENT.” Then the next time, it spits out, “FOUR QUIRKY BUT ATTRACTIVE YOUNG PEOPLE LIVING IN AN APARTMENT.” And so on. We need to locate this computer and destroy it with hammers.

14. Nobody is normal.

15. At least once per year, some group of scientists will become very excited and announce that:
* The universe is even bigger than they thought!
* There are even more subatomic particles than they thought!
* Whatever they announced last year about global warming is wrong.

16. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be “meetings.”( of course meetings dont discuss but spoil . Best eg: Parliment).

17. The main accomplishment of almost all organized protests is to annoy people who are not in them.

18. The value of advertising is that it tells you the exact opposite of what the advertiser actually thinks. For example:
* If the advertisement says “This is  your father’s Old mobile,” the advertiser is desperately concerned that this Old mobile, like all other Old mobiles, appeals primarily to old farts like your father.
* If Coke and Pepsi spend billions of dollars to convince you that there are significant differences between these two products, both companies realize that Pepsi and Coke are virtually identical.
* If the advertisement strongly suggests that Nike shoes enable athletes to perform amazing feats, Nike wants you to disregard the fact that shoe brand is unrelated to athletic ability.
* If Budweiser runs an elaborate advertising campaign stressing the critical importance of a beer’s “born-on” date, Budweiser knows this factor has virtually nothing to do with how good a beer tastes.

19. If there really is a God who created the entire universe with all of its glories, and He decides to deliver a message to humanity, He will not use, as His messenger, a person on cable TV with a bad hairstyle.

20. You should not confuse your career with your life.

21. A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person.

22. No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously.

23. When trouble arises and things look bad, there is always one individual who perceives a solution and is willing to take command. Very often, that individual is crazy.

24. Your friends love you anyway.

25. Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance.
